Go on over to calmandcenteredaf. com/ mood. Welcome everybody to the podcast. My name is Cheryl Reynolds and I am your host. As an intuitive person, we have a guidance system. We have a way of navigating the world based on our feelings, but we've just learned to trust that unknown place and space within us that tells us something is right and something is wrong. So we're not in our head in that way. Are we over thinkers? Yes, we tend to have squirrel brains, but for an intuitive person, we need to be able to trust that ability to go. I know that's right and I was spot on. Well, how'd you know that? I just know. Now. I did a study, not a study. I did a survey recently and out of the people I surveyed, most people trust their intuition 100%. Some people 75, but it doesn't go much lower than that, because most of us were young when we picked up our way of navigating the world and it's become who we are, so we tend to trust it. We don't have to overthink it. But there are times when we're not quite sure if our intuition is powerful enough and we want to tap into that. So I have three ways to help you to increase your intuitive age, age, edge, edge. Okay, let's get started.
Speaker 1:Number one get out of your frigging head. Stop spinning in all the shit that you don't need to spin into. It's like this when our brain is overthinking and analyzing and evaluating and deciding in an intellectual way, even overthinking something, we're not tapping in our we blah, blah, blah. We are not tapping into our intuition because our intuition comes from a different place. It doesn't come from our busy mind. So when that happens, I want you to slow down, quiet your mind down and pay attention just to how you're feeling. Get out of the overthinking. It is not going to serve you as an intuitive person. Now a disclaimer it is perfectly fine to analyze things and to reinforce your intuition with facts and knowledge, yes, but when it first comes to making a decision, you can't go down the rabbit hole of overthinking. I can't even talk tonight, but bear with me. Okay, that is number one, number two Okay, that is number one, number two.
Speaker 1:So the next time you have one of those spot on intuitive moments where you're like I knew I was right, I told you not to do that, I just knew. And people tend to ask how you know and you can't answer them because we don't know how we know, we just know. But the next time that happens, I want you to imagine taking a snapshot of that feeling and saying Notice how you felt the sensation you were feeling and where in your body was this located? Because we all have a place in our body where we feel our intuition the most. I like to call what I feel a locking in. Now I would love for you to tell me what your do you want to call it metaphor is for your intuition. But when I get that locked in, I know it's on point and sometimes it takes a while. And that can happen when I'm writing something in my book or I'm working with a client, because I know that if I get in my head I'm usually off. When I let my creative download happen and I allow myself just to be free, download happen and I allow myself just to be free not to overthink, things become easy and they become natural. So go into your body when you have that intuition and lock in how it feels when you get a yes, and so the next time you have a situation where you're trying to figure out if you're right or wrong, you can say to yourself am I getting that same feeling I got when I had that a hundred percent yes? And if you're not, you might be off. But start to do that. Start to pay attention to the sensation and the feeling and the location of where your intuition is.
Speaker 1:Number three, start to pay attention to the magic of the world. I want you to start to be curious and lean into things, especially when it comes to symbolism and synchronicity and patterns that happen, because these all tie into your intuition. They're all a form of a guidance system for you that is bringing you where you need to go. I'll give you an example. Recently, the number 1111 has been popping up. Now this is not uncommon for me. It happens all the time. You know. Usually I'll pick up my phone and it would be at 1111, or I'll go somewhere and there'll be a sign that says 11 to 11, 11. But this time it was random YouTube videos that kept saying watch this video now. And I kept ignoring it. Watch this video. And finally I'm like fine, I'll watch the video. And it happened like four times in three days. So these are the things that we tend to ignore. Stop to pay attention to them and, again, do so in a curious way. Do so in like a Ooh, what is this going to show me? Or what path am I going to be taking down?
Speaker 1:Because when you start to trust some of the things that aren't tangible, it helps to give you a little bit more perspective on how your intuition works, because we're all connected. We're all connected to whatever you want to call it universe, spirit, guide, god, the divine. We're all connected and our intuition is a big part of that. Now, the last thing I want you to do if you are an intuitive person, you have a special gift and I want you to make sure you use it, because a lot of people don't have it and they struggle because everything they're doing to figure out what's happening with other people or to make a decision and to navigate the world is all done in that busy part of their brain and they don't get the same results that we get. We get really positive results because there is something in our brain and there are parts of our brain that do help us to navigate the world, but on a spiritual, metaphysical level, we are picking up on things that others are not, could be energy, it could be just a nudge from the universe. So we have to learn to find out how to listen when our intuition is talking to us.
Speaker 1:All right, I thank you very much for listening to this episode. You have a great day and I'll see you next week. I thank you for listening all the way to the end of this podcast.
