Welcome to the podcast. My name is Cheryl and I am your host. Oftentimes we get stuck and we do the same things in our life over and over again. It would not make any progress or any changes. And I want to bring you on a nice guided journey to help you do that. And the reason why this is so powerful is when you allow your subconscious mind to help you to make changes that you need. It will do so, but you just need to tell it what you want. But we can't talk to our subconscious mind the way we talk to a friend or the way we communicate with each other. It doesn't work that way. Our subconscious mind listens and understands metaphors and myths and feelings. So I want to bring you on this journey.

Speaker 1:

Now, if you're not sure what hypnosis is, trust me, hypnosis is all self-hypnosis. You go in and out of it every day, naturally, when you first wake up in the morning, when you daydream, when you drive down the street thinking about what you're going to make for dinner. That is hypnosis. It is right below the surface. It is a change of your brain waves, but is a natural state, and I will share more about hypnosis on another episode. Before we begin, just remember do not drive or use any heavy machinery while listening to this audio. Find yourself a place to get comfortable where you will not be disturbed for about 15 minutes. Give that time to yourself to be able to go on this wonderful journey with me. Take a big, deep breath in hold for the count of two and exhale twice as long. Speaker 1:

You may hear everything I say throughout this recording or you may notice that you go in and out of listening, kind of like we do when we're talking to somebody. We hear bits and pieces, and that's okay. Your subconscious mind will remember everything it needs to and you might find when you go back and listen again, things may seem or sound different, and that's okay too. We are only given exactly what we need. Now, everything I say today is going to sink deep into your subconscious mind and it's going to start to have a profound effect on you. You're going to feel better, feel more inspired, and you're going to start to feel more like yourself.

Speaker 1:

Let's begin by you noticing a spot on the wall wall and just notice it with a gentle gaze. In a moment, I'm going to count back from 10 to 1. And every time I say a number, I'm going to have you open and close your eyes. Don't worry, I'm going to walk you through it. Just again, listen to my voice and follow my directions. As I'm counting, you're going to notice your eyelids getting very heavy and at the point where they're so heavy that you can't keep them open. Just close them down and keep them closed for the remainder of this recording.

Speaker 1:

Let's begin 10. Open your eyes and close your eyes, noticing a wave of relaxation going all the way down your body. Whatever relaxation means to you. Nine Open your eyes and close your eyes. Your eyelids are starting to get heavy. Heavy eyelids, heavy eyelids, heavy eyelids. This is just a form of relaxation. Eight open your eyes and close your eyes. Your eyelids are feeling heavy, as if you're wanting to close them down, and just notice the relaxation around your eyelids. It feels really good to let them shut down. Seven open your eyes and close your eyes again. You notice your eyelids getting heavy, and heavy eyelids are a way to move you deeper into hypnosis. For all, hypnosis is a natural state and therefore you have control whether to keep your eyelids open or closed, but sometimes allowing them to close allows you to become more relaxed.

Speaker 1:

6. Open your eyes and close your eyes. Just notice the relaxation you're feeling from the top of your head and bring it all the way down to your toes, just allowing any of that excess energy. You have to leave and to let go. You don't need to struggle, you just need to allow and just to let yourself begin to relax. Begin to relax. Five Open your eyes and close your eyes. Bring your attention down to your hands. Notice the left hand, because it's the right one. You may notice this hand feeling heavy or light, heavy or light. Now bring your attention over to your right hand, because that's the one that's left. You may notice that hand feeling light or heavy, light or heavy and whatever you feel is perfect for you, and bring that feeling all the way down and down to your legs, noticing your left leg feeling light or heavy, light or heavy, and notice your right leg feeling heavy or light, heavy or light, and just settle into that.

Speaker 1:

Four open your eyes and close your eyes. Allow your body to go deeper and deeper down into that resource state known as hypnosis. Known as hypnosis Three open your eyes and close your eyes. Some people say relaxation is a feeling of heaviness or a feeling of lightness or just a feeling of being comfortable and relaxed. Find what it means to you and allow that feeling to move through your body, doubling your relaxation. Two open your eyes and close your eyes. Deeper down, deeper down you go. One open your eyes and close your eyes. Bring that wonderful feeling of relaxation down your body, all the way down to the tips of your toes. Keep in mind that numbers can go on for affinity and therefore you can relax yourself even more than the number one. That's right. Take a big, deep breath in and exhale, and you may notice you're going to continue to go deeper and deeper into that natural state known as hypnosis Because, remember, the past is past and right now we're going to string those nows together as you step and walk into your future. Lend me your imagination and just go on this journey with me.

Speaker 1:

Notice in front of you a beautiful door. It can be any color door you like, but you open this door and as you do, you notice a beautiful field in front of you, a field of flowers as far as your mind can see. You step into this door and the moment you do, the smells capture you. The flowers are expansive, pep it along a walkway and you look up to the beautiful sky in most comfortable color that you absorb yourself into. This color is soothing, comfortable color that you absorb yourself into. This color is soothing and it is relaxing and it puts you at perfect peace.

Speaker 1:

Right now, there's nothing you need to do here. There's no place you need to go and this is your safe space. You begin walking and walking, taking in everything you can. The more you're here, the more relaxed you become, the more connected to this space you find yourself, the more connected to this space you find yourself. As you continue to walk, you notice a bench off in the distance. You walk over to the bench and take a seat. Looking off to the side of the bench, you notice an empty garden bed that is ready for planting. There are holes, pepidol in it, and you're going to find that this is your. You look over to the bench and beside you there is a beautiful book. You're drawn to it.

Speaker 1:

You pick up this book, noticing it is so heavy. This book is heavy and you put it in your lap. And you now know, intuitively, as you look down at this book, you notice your hands, and one of your hands we'll call it the receiving hand, and the other hand is the releasing hand. And you put this book in the receiving hand and the moment you do, this book opens up very quickly. A page floats to your releasing hand. This is the one thing you want to release, the one thing you want to get rid of. You may know what it is or not, but your subconscious mind does and it knows it needs to be let go. And at that moment that page flutters on over and lands in the garden bed where it disintegrates and dissolves.

Speaker 1:

From that point you walk over to the garden bed carrying your heavy book and you shake it really hard, noticing pages and dust and whatever you need to release and let go of that no longer serves. You falls out, you falls out. You can release anything that is heavy and weighs you down, and as those pages flutter and float out, they drop into the garden bed, dissipating easily. You notice you feel lighter and the book feels lighter because this book is a connection of you. It is your past, it is your history and it is also the book of your future. You notice the book begins to glow and you begin to glow as well. The book begins to glow and you begin to glow as well.

Speaker 1:

You shake the book out one more time and then you sit back on the bench. You have this feeling you've begun to rewrite your story. You're no longer going to relive the same story as before, the same scenario. You're going to find new thoughts, new inspiration and new ideas and a new way of beginning. You hold that book in your hand and you think of that one thing you want to carry into your future, the one thing that represents who you truly are, who you truly want to be At this moment. You notice whatever that thought was.

Speaker 1:

The book opens and a page flutters out, but this time it takes off flight, turning into the most beautiful bird as it flies off in the distance, off into your future, carrying with it your dreams, your aspirations and your new path. You look down at the book and you give thanks for its inspiration and its guidance along your journey, knowing you can come back here at any time you wish. You look over towards the garden bed and you notice, to your surprise, beautiful flowers have already begun to bloom and you take a few moments to explore the area, noticing the flowers, the fields, the sky, and just relaxing into the moment. Now it's time to go back and you head on over and walk back through the door that you came. You find yourself back in the chair, refreshed, rejuvenated and excited for a future, because, deep down, you know that your subconscious mind is going to work for you and it's going to continue to bring you valuable resources and ways to make your dreams come true.

Speaker 1:

In a moment, I'm going to bring you out of this hypnotic rest, but before I do, remember your mind has the ability to change and you have the ability to change your mind, and your subconscious mind is going to work for you and with you to help you do just that. Let's begin. Three, take a deep breath in hold for the count of two. Exhale twice as long. Two give yourself a stretch, move your body a little bit, coming back to the here and now. A little bit coming back to the here and now, and one open your eyes and go about your day feeling wonderful in every way. I thank you for listening all the way to the end of this podcast.
